You MUST join the Bay Area QS Meetup group and sign up for this event. This event will be about 150 people - not as casual as our previous excellent meetups at the Flowspace, but sure to be a great time for all!

Please join us on June 27th for another night of self-tracking presentations, sharing lessons learned, and showing tools.
We'll be in Berkeley this time, at Berkeley Skydeck. Be sure to RSVP early to grab your spot! Talks will be in the Ignite Plus format (Ignite talks + Q&A period). Rajiv Mehta will be hosting. New ideas and connections will emerge, and lots of fun will be had. :)
Anyone who would like to volunteer, please write to me (Alex) at [masked]. It's a great way to meet people!
6 -7 pm SOCIAL HOUR AND WORKSHOP
Think: "science fair" for adults.
If you have a self-tracking project, gadget, app, or idea you'd like to share or demo, but you don't want to get up and talk about it, the workshop hour is perfect for you.
You don't need to have a prepared talk, or permission to show something. Just come and bring what you have. Just to be clear, we save the talks for personal accounts of self-tracking and self-experimentation, rather than sales/investor pitches. But of course we are also interested in tools! If you are making something useful for self-trackers – software, hardware, web services, or data standards – please demo it in this workshop portion of the Show&Tell.
We will also be encouraging everyone to talk to new people they've never talked to before!
7 pm – 8:30 pm QS SHOW&TELL TALKS
If you'd like to talk about your personal self-tracking story, please let us know in your RSVP so we can discuss your topic and how much time you'll need. In your talk, you should answer the three prime questions: What did you do? How did you do it? What did you learn?
If you've never been to a meetup before, you can get a sense of what the talks are like from watching videos of previous QS talks.
Don't know what Ignite means? Click here for more info and here for tips on how to deliver a fantastic quick-fire presentation.
8:30 - 10 pm MORE SOCIAL TIME
Talk to the speakers, chat with new and old friends, ask other people what they're tracking, and generally hang out and have a great time.
QS SPONSORS: OUR THANKS TO Berkeley Skydeck!
A fantastic space is generously being provided by our friends at Berkeley Skydeck! Thanks too to Intel, Autodesk, and Scanadu, our annual sponsors, for supporting the Quantified Self movement across the country and around the world. Three cheers to them for making our gathering possible!
QS SPONSORSHIP AND MEETUP COSTS
We use the sponsor money and meetup donations to pay for professional video recording, incidental venue costs, and awesome, healthy refreshments, as well as to fund projects that help the larger QS community. If you or your company are interested in sponsoring Quantified Self, please let us know.
Thank you and see you there!
Hi All, Great meeting last night! I wanted to follow-up with any of the individuals or start-ups interested in getting good recognition through the Nokia Sensing X CHALLENGE. The competition is open to teams that want to showcase their sensing tech and applications, especially new, innovative ones that we've seen here. Contact me or see the website.
Thanks,
Jessica
