Hi, fellow plant munchers,
We are blessed. Downtown Oakland is turning into a vegan restaurant mecca. Not only has Golden Lotus been there for ages, and The Breakroom, but two new veg restaurants have opened. We enjoyed Nature's Vegetarian a couple months ago. Now let's try Banana Soy Vegan Restaurant. It's Vietnamese, and by all accounts, fantastic. They have classics, such as spring rolls, and unique dishes, such as the Fried Chicken Bread appetizer, roast duck noodle, beef mushroom, and lots more. I'm really looking forward to trying this restaurant. It's earned 4.5 stars on Yelp.
To get there, take BART to 12th Street. Exit the station at 14th Street, walk a block north to 15th Street, turn right, and you're there.
They charge $0.25 for to-go containers, so consider bringing your own.
If your plans change, change your RSVP ASAP.
Please chip in a couple bucks to reimburse me for Meetup's fees, either on the Meetup site or at the event.
Hope to see you at dinner,
