Dinner at Fellini

Hi Plant Eaters, Let's have dinner
this Friday. We haven't been to
Fellini Ristorante for a while. It's a fantastic mixed (veg/non-veg) Italian restaurant where you can get pastas and pizzas with vegan ingredients like soy cheese and faux meats (how can you not love vegan pizza called "Smiling Cow"?), and of course, vegetables. The food is always good and the ambiance is nice, too. I know this is relatively short notice (where did May go?) but this time I've increased the attendance cap so everyone who wants to go should be able to. And it's a short walk from North Berkeley BART and the #51 bus stops right in front. So I'll see you there, right? Please be considerate of your fellow plant eaters and RSVP yes only if you have EVERY REASON to think you will be able to make it. And thank you to those of you who change your RSVPs
well in advance of the event. As you may know by now, Meetup charges organizers. I've been paying $15/month since I took over the group. It takes time to organize these Meetups, make reservations, respond to emails, etc. If everyone who comes to an event chips in $1 or so, it will almost reimburse me. You can do it here on the Meetup website or please remember to do it in person at the event. It's optional for now, but much appreciated. Thanks! I hope to see you at the event! The bill came to $405, but the food was good and very artistically presented (though portions were pretty small). I met some interesting new people. The two guys at the opposite end of my table looked like Barack Obama and Justin Trudeau.

I was pleased that 19 people showed up on relatively short notice. There was lively conversation and the food was good.

Attending members are friendly and engaging. It is a new experience to me to have a group of people dining together and enjoying the conversation.

Food was good, company was interesting. Figuring out the bill turned into a problem. There has to be a better way!

They have this great side room that fit all of us at two long tables. Good conversations, good food, good dessert.

    The menu is here:

Vegan dishes are labeled "(VG)". There aren't a lot of them, but we can also try dishes labeled "(*)", which are non-vegan dishes that are modified to be vegan upon request.
