Dinner at Everest Cafe

Hi, fellow plant munchers,

No rerun this month. We're going to a restaurant we've never been to together before—Everest Cafe on Solano Avenue in Berkeley. They serve Nepalese food, which is similar to Indian. Think peas, potatoes, cauliflower, mushrooms, tofu, spinach, garbanzos—I'm getting hungry again! They even have a vegan section of their menu plus a few more vegan items. Everest Cafe gets good reviews on Yelp, so it should be another tasty meal enjoyed together.

Please respond only if and when you're sure you can make it. And if your plans change, please change your response at least a day in advance so that someone else can come.

When you arrive, check in with me so I can mark you "present" and give you a name tag, and chip in a couple bucks to reimburse me for Meetup fees and to help keep the group going (you can pay on the Meetup site instead). Thanks a bunch.

See you at dinner,

P.S. Next week is Veg Week in Oakland. There are lots of recipes, events to attend, and restaurants offering special dishes. Check it out.

I enjoyed everyone there that I had occasion to talk to. The long wait time for food to arrive to everyone may have been difficult for some. The food was very tasty and the one server who managed us all was talented! I look forward to our next dinner. Thank you, John for organizing us.

My dish (panner takari) & the complimentary lentil soup was aromatic & flavorful ! The veggie samosa is moist & not oily. Although the Café is small, it has good seating & service.

I apologize, I was really looking forward to meeting with you guys, and sharing delicious Vegan food. I had a family emergency to take care of, please include me next time. I would love to meet fellow Vegans in the area.
