New Meetup: Dinner at New World Vegan

Announcing a new Meetup for Berkeley Vegan Dinner Club!

What: Dinner at New World Vegan

When: September 29,[masked]:00 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: Hi Fellow Plant Munchers,

First I want to say that this Meetup isn't just for vegans. You will be expected to order vegan dishes when we eat together but people of all culinary persuasions are welcome. So please don't be afraid to come to a Meetup just because you're not vegan.

OK, on to the food! For our next Meetup, based on poll results (see "Polls" in the menu), we'll again be dining in Oakland--this time at New World Vegan (formerly New World Vegetarian). I can't say it better than their website:

"New World Vegetarian presents a delightful creative international menu featuring Thai, Italian, Aulacese, Indian, Chinese, and Brazilian cuisines that are completely vegan and low fat or oil-free. Highlights include Louisiana gumbos, claypots, curries, and Brazilian Fejoada, red bean stew with okra. Come and enjoy our foods full of health, happiness, and peace. We not only serve you pure and healthy vegetarian dishes, but also serve you a lifestyle of dining with friendly services and peaceful vibrations."

Aw-w-w, I feel all warm and fuzzy. My favorite dish is "chicken" cacciatore. Yum!

It's very easy to get to, just a few blocks from the 12th Street BART station, on 8th Street at Broadway.

I'd like to keep our meetups small enough for everyone to be cozy and to share in the conversation, so space is limited. In consideration of your fellow diners, please RSVP only if you're sure you can come so you don't prevent someone else from attending. And if something comes up, please come back here and change your RSVP. (Thanks to those who have.)

There are no waiting lists, so if you want to come but the event is already full, just keep checking back, especially right before the event--a spot almost always will have opened up for you.

Hope to see you soon!
