Join us for a 5/6 mile stroll starting in Wendover and going east out of the town. We will take in the sights from Coombe Hill (the highest viewpoint in the Chilterns with breathtaking views over Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Chequers), then come back through Bacombe nature reserve (noted for its butterflies and orchids).
There will be the obligatory ice cream van half way round and we will end up back at the Red Lion for drinks and food. The menu varies from full roasts to fish finger sandwiches (which were very popular last time). We will take a couple of menus with us and phone in our food order when we are half way round.
The route involves some moderate hills and is suitable for most walkers.
We will start and finish in the car park of the Red Lion (www.redlionhotelwendover.co.uk/) arriving at 11.50 for a 11.30 start.
For anyone wanting to arrive via train, Wendover station is a 5 minute walk away from the pub.
