We try to make a small donation to Shire City Sanctuary each time that we use the space. If possible, please bring a small amount ($1-$5) to donate. This is similar to buying a coffee at Barnes & Noble when using the cafe for meetings.

So we were originally planning for a Ruby on Rails demo for this month, but I think that's going to get pushed to next month now. I'd love to hear some feedback about new topics. Preferably sooner rather than later so I have a little bit of time to plan if I have to.

If anybody has mobile dev experience, I think that could be an interesting one to have a talk about. I was thinking about playing with PhoneGap a little bit because that's a low barrier of entry for me.

A couple of other areas of interest for me are the Rust programming language and the asm.js compiler.

If none of those are interesting to anyone, there's plenty more things we can do if people can even give some vague feedback about areas of interest.

Another thing I've been poking at a bit lately is different NoSQL databases. I use Redis in production, and I have a bit of experience with Neo4j and CouchDB. There is a small project I was going to do with Cloudant (which is basically a hosted couchDB service) that I is small enough to do together as a sample project to learn some things.
