Rust is a programming language with a focus on type safety, memory safety, concurrency and performance. It is intended for writing large-scale, high-performance software that is free from several classes of common errors.
We'll be going through a Rust tutorial together to get a handle on this new and intriguing language. It is a project started by Mozilla, mostly as a way to replace its large C++ codebase with better concurrency and safety without losing any performance. It has received high praise and seems like something that should be on many people's radar.
Note about the location: You can park in the side lot of the building. The entrance is on the right side toward the back, with a yellow clip on it. The website for Shire City Sanctuary is http://shirecitysanctuary.com/
We try to make a small donation to Shire City Sanctuary each time that we use the space. If possible, please bring a small amount ($1-$5) to donate. This is similar to buying a coffee at Barnes & Noble when using the cafe for meetings.
