Schalander Hausbrauerei

A relative newcomer to Berlin's microbrewery scene (founded in 2009), Schalander Hausbrauerei is tucked away in the north-eastern corner of Friedrichshain, 200m north of the Frankfurter Allee S-Bahn station.

Like most traditional German microbreweries, Schalander's regular selection of house brewed beers consists of:

- Helles (Pils)
- Dunkles
- Hefeweizen
- Special (Festbier)

(i.e. don't expect any IPAs or coffee-stouts)

This informal tasting is scheduled for Wednesday, 2nd October (evening before reunification day, so not a school night!). Attendees can order their own beers and we can try each style together.

As places are limited (venue has restricted number of seats), please only RSVP if you intend to come on the evening.

Unfortunately, we won't be able to make it on Wednesday. So two places are free to take.

Hi all. I just spoke to the venue and unfortunately, there is only room for maximum 20 people, since we are not eating, so there is only room for the 20 on the RSVP list.

I will be organising more tastings at Berlin's less well known microbreweries over the coming weeks, so keep an eye out.

Hi everyone. Big demand for places tomorrow. Gentle reminder: If you won't be coming, please update your RSVP, so that you're not preventing anyone else from coming who could otherwise have a place.

I am so sorry not to be able to participate at the end but AngularJS Meetup Berlin 7 comes first . Please write your impressions afterwards.

It's a pity there are not more micro's brewing outside of the scope of Pils, IPA's or Weizen's here in Berlin.
