A relative newcomer to Berlin's microbrewery scene (founded in 2009), Schalander Hausbrauerei is tucked away in the north-eastern corner of Friedrichshain, 200m north of the Frankfurter Allee S-Bahn station.
Like most traditional German microbreweries, Schalander's regular selection of house brewed beers consists of:
- Helles (Pils)
- Special (Festbier)
(i.e. don't expect any IPAs or coffee-stouts)
This informal tasting is scheduled for Wednesday, 2nd October (evening before reunification day, so not a school night!). Attendees can order their own beers and we can try each style together.
As places are limited (venue has restricted number of seats), please only RSVP if you intend to come on the evening.
