Berlin Hack and Tell #9

Hackers unite!

While it's getting slowly warmer we hope you used your time at home to do some awesome hacks at home instead of going out into the Siberian cold.

GOOD NEWS! Our call for pizza was heard be the fine folks at SysEleven and they'll make sure we don't starve while we listen to the demos.

As always we won't want to limit the kind or relation of hacks. Demo cool stuff, no matter if it's an mobile app, website, desktop program or library. Anything is allowed, just cross the line to awesomeness - and if it fails it should do it really beautiful.

There are not many rules, but:

  • You get 5 Minutes to present in English
  • people can ask you afterwards
  • NO PURE SLIDEDECKS, no pitches, only Demos + Code

If you come, tell us through Meetup. If you want to present, tell us in the registration form. And if you have feedback please send it to [masked]. Our relaxed event will only as good as everybody makes it. Bring your hacks and your friends and join us for the evening.

Also we have great news: Keith, the creator of Berlin Hack and Tell, will be joining this meetup to see how we did in the last months. Let's blow him away with awesome hacks!

I was impressed by the high amount of hardware hacks. Most of the other presentations rocked as well. Loved it!

I'm a bit ancious to rate this 5 stars, because the room should not get any more packed.

A very entertaining and interesting mix of hacks, will definitely attend again. One little suggestion: It would have helped me if every developer begins with clearly stating 1.) what the hack does 2.) what system it is written on/using. This would make it easier to follow the demo that follows.

This was my first time here and the idea and the execution were awesome! The only problem was that I have a terrible flu, combined with the bad air quality forced me to leave just at the beginning of the second half. I'll definitely come again.

Phew, I just became an alternate in the last minute while taking train to c-base. But I guess members have always access to the mainhall events.

Hey, we've got a sponsor! SysEleven saved the day (and starving hackers). Woohoo!

I just invited a few people from the waiting list who answered that they want to demo something in the RSVP-dialog.

I'm sorry to report that our planned sponsor can't make it. So for now we won't have pizza on Tuesday. But if you work at a cool company which wants to be applauded by a room full of developers get it touch at [masked] - thanks!

Dear presenters: We're glad for every hacker who wants to present something. But PLEASE keep in mind that most if not all of the audience are developers, so get on stage if you BUILT that thing and don't SELL it to us. Thank you.
