Berlin Hack and Tell #16 - Tobi's Farewell Party

Hackers unite!

Time flies when you are having fun. Hopefully this fun involved some kind of hack because very soon it's demo time again at the space station! So wrap it up and compete over the "hack of the month" while chewing on a slice of pizza and chatting with fellow hackers.

This time the pizza will rain from the cloud powered by amazon web services. They are very happy to support our meetup and want to invite everyone to check out their next event "Develop awesome mobile applications on AWS". To shorten the wait for the next edition and to play around with their services they additionally offer a 50 USD start bonus.

bhnt.rules =

There are not many rules, but:

  • You'll get 5 minutes to present in English
  • you or your team should have built it yourself
  • people can ask you afterwards
  • NO PURE SLIDEDECKS, no pitches, only Demos + Code
  • keep in mind that the audiences is highly technical and starts snoring if you do marketing voodoo
  • entertain us!

if( you.isSure ){ bhnt.rsvp(you, true) }

To give everyone a fair chance the registration will open this time exactly 7 days before the meetup. This will be on Tuesday, Oct 23, 6.30pm. Mark it in your calendar!

If you come, tell us through Meetup. If you want to present, tell us in the registration form. And if you have feedback please send it to [masked]. Our relaxed event will only as good as everybody makes it. Bring your hacks and your friends and join us for the evening.

PS: Presenters get a reserved seat. If you want to join for sure you should bring a hack and contact us.

HACK THE PLANET!

Cheers,
Tobias, Keith and Stefan, your Berlin Hack & Tell organizers

Loved the plot twist at the end - in which a flea-market pitch is secretly a mind-blowing hack that wins over the hearts and minds of the audience!

Yet again, thanks for a very diverse set of projects. I'd like to get to know a bit more about the tech behind the hack, though.

Awesome, definitely the most "true" event I took part here in Berlin. Lots of smart people to get feedback from and to connect with.

While I expected more advanced "Hacks" it was still very interesting and some guys presented some really funny stuff!

We are looking forward to a great show tonight and we just invited a few more people from the waiting list. If you can't make it tonight please change your rsvp so others can get your seat. Thanks!

Ok, so Meetup didn't open the RSVPs correctly at 6.30pm so we HACKED it and opened it manually. You can now sign up.

Since its Tobi's "farewell party" feel free to mention where he's going! since we're all just sittin' here waiting for 7 days to pass so we can sign-up, there's plenty of time for listening to stories !:)

Better late than never, i'll move to Melbourne/Australia to enjoy the bright/sunny side of life. I'll try to setup Hack And Tell there.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
