Meet & Greet, and "Humanism in public discourse"

We have quite a few new members, and it's time to do another casual gathering.. So, lets meet up, have some good food and drinks, and talk about anything and everything.

We do have a theme: how Humanism is talked about in regular/out-on-the-street conversations i.e. how it is defined or understood by people, be they self-proclaimed humanists or not. You're requested to think about and try to remember if it has come up in your conversations, or if you overheard or read or saw something about it, and share your own views/experiences.

The questions, I'ld like to raise and find some answers to, are:

1- Where in the world is Humanism considered a legitimate life-stance, and where not (-and why)?

2- Do we humanists represent ourselves as a community or individuals, i.e. what have you observed?

3- And finally what brings you/people to Humanism, and what is that label useful for?.

- As usual, feel free to bring snacks/drinks/prepared food; some will be provided; You can also bring the ingredients and prepare your dish here, just let me know so we can coordinate it better :)

P.S. Do bring any ideas for further events!

Thank you everyone for coming out yesterday, and thank you Reto, and Eszther for hosting!
It was great to see some new faces, and have such a good conversation, and the discussion! I hope everyone enjoyed as much as I did..
I was slightly wrong about males bearing children, so far, it's been female to male transgender men who have done so, but idea remains interesting to me! Here's a bit more on that...

See ya all at upcoming meetups!, and good night from Park Schlamau!

Hey, I won't be able to make it folks. I've got a bit too much on my plate right now negotiating the contract for the Baumhaus space and preparing for the build out.
