Talking about "The Stoner"

Hey there! So we finally made it to our first choice: We picked "The Stoner" by John Williams as our first read. We agreed to start reading through the book and if a question occurs which we want to discuss in the group on our next meeting we will post the question into the meet-up group or into our facebook group. Of course then we will also have to choose the next book we want to read together so let´s all think about what would be a good choice (not too long, not to short)!

Hey everyone, I suggested a new meetup regarding the next book, but it doesn't show up on the main page. Click on the suggested meetup tab to view it and decide on the next book we'll read.

Hey guys? How are you doing with the book? For me it took some time that i got through it actually I am still readingt the last pages. Some questions that we could talk about:

What impressed you most within the book?
    What didn´t you enjoy?
Where there some situations that reminded you of yourself/someone you know?
What would you do when you were in Stoners place? Would you change sth? What and how?

I am done with the book, and would like to discuss the following: 1) What is the main message of the book? 2) Do you think there was a turning point in Stoner's life, a moment when he could have acted differently?

I will be picking the book up to read on my vacation so i can stay involved. I am excited about joining everyone but the only bummer part is my vacation will include the 16th so I will not make this discussion group. But looking forward to the next one and the posts!!!!!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
