What we’re about
Berlin is such an amazing, beautiful, city that has so much to offer and so many new people are moving here all the time. This group is for people who want to get out and explore this city, and its mindset (which I think is unique in the world) and make new friends along the way, versus just going out by themselves at random here and there and hoping they get home safely.
Sadly, I do not live in Berlin fulltime anymore as this New Yorker was sent back once again to London - Brexit or something like that (hope you guys enjoyed me while I was there lol!) So I am no longer involved with curating and "massaging" this group anymore - my days of paying to subscribe to everything written in English about Berlin, spending hours tracking down and reading all website links about Berlin I could find, doing my best to always find new and interesting places for us all to get to go to, and making Meetups where newbies could turn up knowing that I personally would be there, easily seen "in my Yankees baseball hat" to make introductions for you, and to make sure nobody ever felt left out - are over (holy smokes, you can see the influence six years of learning German had on me with a run on sentence like that lol!!!!)
But thankfully so many cool members have raised their hands to become Event Organizers for this group, and each of them adds their own special value posting events with chances to get out and about around town - to them all I will be eternally grateful.
