This meetup will discuss and dissect new hot consumer and enterprise business models in small teams. It will be interactive and will take place in a 30-minute break-up session. Each team will consist of 5 people and will be assigned one topic. We will try as best to have in each team a software engineer, product manager, designer, business guy and a generalist. You can choose 3 topics from the the list below and you will be assigned to one topic. After the break-up session each team will have 5 minutes to present the next biggest trend and start-up in the topic they chose.

Berlin Startup Culture (BSC)

Berlin Startup Culture is a weekly meetup group where the Berlin tech startup community comes together to drink, work, discuss and network. We meet at different locations across town each week. Mostly at a start-up office, co-working space or a bar.

Things we do at BSC:

Discuss and dissect new hot consumer and enterprise business models
Listen to experienced founders, product managers, engineers, designers, and networkers talk plain about their experiences, challenges, failures, and successes
Listend to angel on their past deals and how they make investments and syndicate with other angels
Listend to VCs on their future deals and how they make investments and syndicate with other investors
Build Hacker-MBA-tandems; in a Hacker-MBA-tandem, a hacker teaches an MBA how to code and the MBA teaches the hacker MBA essentials. Tandems present their progress every fortnight.
Do live hackathons in start-ups, hospitals, orphan homes, schools, jails, nursing homes, kindergartens, courts, government offices, etc.

Format: Presentations, interviews and hackathons

The format for a presentation: 45 minutes presentation, 30 minutes audience Q&A. Networking afterward. All presentation slides can be downloaded at:

The format for a hackathon; teams of 4-5 people consisting each of experienced hackers, rookie hackers, designers and a business geek. A hackathon can take a day or 2-3 days concluding with live product demos.
