Join us in our monthly Tech Salon get-together. We will start at 19:00 and go (officially) till 23:00, but you are welcome to stay longer if you like.
The format works like this: sit around the table(s) and take turns showing stuff. If no one steps forward, volunteer yourself or ask the person sitting next to you, "You got something to talk about?"
How long you talk is flexible, but it seems to work best if it is under 15 minutes or so. Play it by ear. People often want to ask questions so remember to leave time for that.
This isn't a talk or a formal presentation. There will be no beamer and nobody has ever, ever brought PowerPoint slides along. Just bring something to show and be ready to talk about it, the way you would with any of your friends. It's good to spend a few minutes before you show up thinking what you want to say (roughly) and make sure you have things working/set up before you arrive. Websites, your camera, your Walkman, an app you wrote, your favorite mandolin/hoebel and a potato.
What gets you really excited at the moment (tech-related, of course)? We wanna know. And we're gonna stand around and look over your shoulder while you talk about it.
We'll use the Meetup website to post relevant links to material online, if there is any.
