I'm definitely a mix of both an Indoor and Outdoor person...especially considering how sweltering hot the Summer is here in AZ. Despite the 108 degree temps outside, I don't let that stop me from having a good time and enjoying life and finding ways to still have fun outside (Big Surf wave pool, boating at the lake, pool parties, zip-lining at Golf 'N Stuff, etc.). I vacation in Seattle and San Diego during the Summer in order to surf, kayak, hang at the beach, hike, etc. What I like most about Phoenix is that it is a melting pot (no pun intended) of all types of people from various backgrounds, cities, viewpoints and cultures.
I live and work in Midtown Phoenix and work in Scottsdale (Cactus and Shea) area. I can make time for events during my evenings after work as well as weekend days and evenings. Ideally, weekday evening events are best for me.
One thing that I've always dreamed of doing and that has been on my mind a lot lately is getting a large yacht and setting sail for a beautiful country or coast line with friends and SCUBA dive and snorkle and fish for our dinners. Some of the outdoor sports and activities include golf, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, swimming, jogging, snowboarding, surfing (croquet anyone?). I also like live sports events (football, baseball, hockey, basketball). I have been writing professionally since 1996 and that is also a hobby and passion of mine in my spare time as well. I also enjoy target shooting, cart racing (F1 Race Factory style), concerts, playing bass guitar in a band, arcade games with others (like Dave and Busters), going out to bars and clubs and hookah lounges to socialize and occasionally dance, camping, zip-lining, fishing, boating, volunteering for Habitat For Humanity or helping out any other groups during the holidays.
Moved to Tempe in 1996 to attend ASU and have lived in Scottsdale, Tempe and Phoenix since then. Prior to moving here, I grew up in Santa Barbara, CA.
