Where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am among them. -Mathew 18:20
Bethel's 20+30 group aims to gather individuals in their 20s and 30s into community with one another around faith, service, education, and fun. At the heart of the 20+30 ministry is a belief that simply by gathering together with others, God’s presence begins to work within us and through us–showing how to serve, how to forgive, and how to love and be loved. Besides, it's nice to be with other young adults who are faithful and curious, right?
Since the inception of the Bethel 20+30 group in 2011, 20+30 has shared dozens of meals in an array of settings (potlucks, picnics, trivia nights, concerts on the square, campfires); ventured out many times (canoeing, sailing, mini-golf, ice skating, swimming); participated in summer activities around Madison, learned together, drank beer together, laughed, and questioned. It's been good.
We are also joining with other young adult ministries within Madison and seek to have fellowship beyond Bethel’s walls.
Though all are welcome to many 20+30 activities, active support and participation of Bethel members helps to provide a strong foundation of faith for the 20+30 ministry. The steering committee includes several Bethel members and Pastor Alison.
