An excellent discussion. Lynda set the stage by providing an important insight about the structure of the narrative in its simultaneous static and dynamic dimensions. Asking everyone for their basic impression at the beginning engendered a great range of terrific comments from a diversity of group members. I came away with a much better understanding and appreciation for the book and look forward to part two. Special thanks to Howard for insight into pleasure and the medieval Italian mind set.
