Do you see the world through [BRACKETS]? Is one pupil permanently dilated and squinting thanks to your view finder? Is your spouse nagging you for her kitchen table or spare bedroom back because you still have not achieved that perfect shot? Find that nobody will go with you to the zoo or aquarium unless you leave your camera at home? Find yourself at Lowe's trying to explain what you need for your next Franken-traption as they look back at you with those big blank deer eyes? Continually ask yourself that never ending question of "WHAT IF" or "HOW CAN I...."? If your kids feel like their living the real "The Truman Show", then this might be the right group for you.
This group is intended for anyone who wants to get more out of their equipment whether it's stills or video. Many of us have interests that cross technologies, platforms and styles. Why not use some of these great technologies and explore new ways of getting more out of what we already have? Whether you enjoy photography or video or both like me, this group is about taking a journey of exploration and trying new things. Here are a few of the group discussions and workshops that I would like to share:
Basic terminology and conversions between video and photography, How to get great photos from video, How to make great videos from photos, High speed photography/video, Time lapse, Using your DSLR, Point and Shoot or even using your iPad HD vs. SD video camera, Audio, lighting, Editing and home productions, Some great apps.
Explore some great alternatives to spending money on expensive equipment. These are intended to be more workshop based learning experiences. Let's do some theme based projects and compare notes. And most importantly, Have Fun!
