April BeyondAgile: Lean Startups Demystified

Lean Startups Demystified

Everybody is talking about Lean Startups. And, it's hard to tell the signal from the noise. It turns out that the signals are familiar to those who've been developing software for awhile, and that understanding a few simple concepts can help separate the signal from the noise.

Bio

Steve ShaperoSteve is a strategic, business-savvy technologist responsible for client delivery across all accounts at Substantial. After graduating with distinction from McGill University in Montréal, Steve earned his stripes in the dot-com heyday of Silicon Alley NYC in the 1990s.

He worked as a senior technologist at Amazon.com in the third-party merchant space, working on two of the top three most used applications on Amazon’s merchant platform. While at Amazon he developed the next generation order management and fulfillment tool for merchants, recovering over $50 million annually in reduced chargeback fees.

Steve consulted in NYC with Intersect, working with clients such as Liz Claiborne, Jil Sander, and Chilewich. Following that he started satelliterecords.com, an mp3 EDM download store.
