For years, I have wanted to start a group like this because I am a product of a bi-racial relationship. My father is African America and my mother is Italian and Native American Indian. Unfortunately my mother did not know how to maintain my hair. Many times there a challenges that mainly bi-racial woman face and/or the parents of bi-racial children. Woman from all over the Bay area should come together and share their secrets or maybe even offer advice to enrich the knowledge of those who are in need of maintaining healthy bi-racial hair.
Women from various mixed cultures can come together to share the same commonality "Hair" and culture. I am hoping that we grow in record breaking numbers as a family where we can touch the lives of people across the country, who are or have dealt with hair issues as well as parents looking to educate their children culturally. We are the back bone of our families and it is up to us to educate ourselves on the unknown. Whether you are a product of a bi racial relationship or you've entered into one, it is our duty as a women to educate ourselves on our spouse's culture. Especially if you plan to have children.
