Andrea, don't forget there are twelve tribes of Israel. I know its a little earlier in the bible, but still.

And in this book, 12 spies went to scope out the promised land. And later on, Jesus has 12 disciples. Interesting.

Hey everyone! Not all of you can join us this week the 22nd at Davanni's, but that's okay. I thought maybe we could get some discussion going now. I'm starting to dig into Numbers, having started with an overview I found online and then diving into the book (that seems to work best for me with these rather dry books). I noticed that there is more of the usual laws and punishment for sin, but am also fascinated by the significance of the number 12 in Numbers. In chapter 33 they come across 12 fountains in Elim; in chapter 34, 12 princes divide the land; in chapter 35, a total of 48 cities will be given to the Levites (which is divisible by 12); and we happen to have 12 months in our calendar and a Jewish girl has a bat mitzvah when she's 12. Interesting. Anybody else notice that? Let's discuss on Thursday.

Andrea- me & Julie & Melissa would still like to meet tonight the 15th.
    How about you?
Next week there is a meetup that me, Julie & I think Rachel are all going to on who wrote the bible - you might want to go to.

I thought Julie said she could do either, that's why I switched. Oh well. Maybe we can meet via chat the week after next.

It's possible I have a meeting for work that night, it hasn't been clarified yet. However, I definitely have plans for the 15th so the 22nd may work out for me. I will post as soon as I know.

Hey Andrea! Would it be too much trouble to push the in person meet up back a week. I'm going to be busy this Thursday night, but will have read both Leviticus and Deuteronomy by then. Let me know if that's possible! Thanks!

Argh! My stinking phone doesn't send me my updates!!! Let me ping the group. I haven't got a lot of RSVP's, so it might be possible. I know that Gina and Julie have other meetups they belong to, so let me see.

I'd be ok pushing back a week as i'm not available this week. I'd certainly be more amenable to next week.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
