The Bible. It's a book written by 40 different authors and compiled throughout 1500 years and has been around for about 2000 years. It is made up of letters, historical records, poetry, prophecies, and narratives. It's been said to be one of the greatest pieces of literature ever, but is that all it is? Does this ancient book have any influence for today? Do all these poems, weird laws, and stories of nations long extinct matter at all for us? I think you would be surprised to find that this old and "irrelevant" book speaks on just about every subject imaginable whether it is scientific, historical, philosophical, or moral. In this ancient book we find answers to life, death, truth, purpose, and nature of personality.
This meet up is for people who are curious to learn what the Bible has to say about events of the world and even their own lives. I do not want loud arguments but good conversation, disagreement is allowed. Anyone can come regardless of beliefs, culture, nationality, etc. Please no one under 18 unless accompanied by an adult. Come join me and talk about controversial issues, personal curiosities, purpose, or everyday struggles. You will find in the Bible hope, comfort, and answers. Each meeting will be centered on a subject of my choosing or a pressing question by an attendee. This is an opportunity for me to learn about you and to help you learn about what God has to say to us through His Bible and how we are to respond to it. I stand on the thought that the Bible is true, inerrant, and calls us to rethink everything we have ever known. I am a Christian and will defend my position to the best of my ability.
