4th Annual Independence Day Parade and BBQ

  • Jul 4, 2013 · 8:00 AM
  • This location is shown only to members

Love a parade? Celebrate Independence Day with two great American traditions.

First, ride along with us in the annual Pleasant Hill Fourth of July Parade. Wear your BTCEB jerseys or shirts, gussy up the bike, and strap on your flags. After the parade, we'll indulge in another truly great American tradition, barbecuing with free food and beer at Dan's Place in Pleasant Hill.

The Parade and BBQ are both family friendly and a really great time!

Please post if you would like to bring a Potluck dish or desert. Contact Dan for pre-parade meeting location.

Everyone loves a parade! especially me (no matter how hot it is)
There are few better ways to enjoy a parade than to be a participant. Being able to see the floats up close and talk to the participants candidly when they aren't doing the 'radar dish wave' is just as priceless as the applause from the cheering crowds lining the parade route.
Top it all off with a Barbecue and some apple pie and what could be more perfect!
Thanks for hosting Dan. Pleasant Hill seem like they really know how to do an independence day parade and festival right too!

The overall plan is to meet at my house at around 8. We have abundant parking on the street near my house. Anyone that wants to drop off pot-luck items in our fridge or decorate their bikes may do so at that time. If you don't have my address, PM me. If that's too early, we will be in DIVISION 3 Line up time; 9:00 to 9:15 as per http://www.phjuly4.com/parade-lineup/
