Tour de Bulverde - Old County Road Route

I did this 48 mile ride several months ago in Bulverde. Part of it is on an old country road (Old Blanco Road) with no traffic other than the few folks who live on it. Saw a bunch of longhorn steer out there in the boonies. http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/270614371. If people don't want to go all the way down 281 on the way back, we can reroute onto Springbranch Road. Not as challenging as Glen's grueling Tour de Punishment Pure Punishment, but you will know you have ridden a bike for 4 hours when you're done. There are gas stations along 281, but no stops on the first half of the ride.

I did this with Glen last weekend. I might change it up a bit but it will be in the 50 mile range either way.

I'm planning on being there for the ride. It will be a 1.5 hr drive for me to get there so there are chances for being a little late but thats not my normal 'mo'. It will be nice to ride with others.

if you are a bottle man, carry 2 water bottles. I might don the camel bak tomorrow; I almost ran out of water last saturday between bergheim and 281, and tomorrow will be hotter

FYI, I drive a 2009 red jetta with a bike rack on back. I usually part on the west end of the parking lot in front of the HEB, back of the parking lot. I'll be there at 8:20 AM . :)
