  • This is an invitation to Palmetto State Park. This is a bike camping ride, which would take us thru Converse, Cibolo, Marion and Seguin then to Palmetto State Park for a ride of 78 miles+-. This ride is not a fast paced ride, I am looking at an average pace of 14-16mph max, but also pending on the skill of the group. We are asking that if someone is interested in doing the trip and would not like to ride all the way, if someone could volunteer to be a support truck(s) or car(s). Driver can switch out with another rider and also enjoy the trip on the bike. We all can contribute for food on the overnight stay(s). I my self have 5gl water container(s), the support truck or car can also carry the overnight equipment for us, so the riders would not have to carry a load on the road bikes. I would be wonderful if many riders can join this trip. this would be a wonderful time to enjoy each others company have a great trip and enjoy what we all like to do. Ride our bikes!!! So sign up and lets get this ride going. Dates are to be determined also pending on the days you all can go for the 2 day or the 3 day trip, please check for your time, when you can go. Thank you

Departure location can be from a location that gets the mot votes and or we can depart from La Tuna. Suggestions are always accepted.

It seems that I can not edit this meet up. But the date has been set for March 14-15 2014. Please confirm if you can still make it.

Interested, but the max I have ever ridden was 54 miles. I would be someone who would probably ride up to that amount then jump in the truck for the remainder. Not sure if that fits within the scope of your ride.

the pace is not a fast pace. It may be or not a challenge to you, but a change of view and different time to explore your strengths.

I requires panniers, rack and lite packing extra change of shorts, maybe winter clothing pending the weather on those days. We will stop and get supplies on the way this is not a fast paced ride. water will be picked up on the way. It is fun scenic and a change of view.

Did we pick a date for this? I think we should go ahead and pin down a date before I plan something else on the same weekend :)
