Wonderful evening with good Insights on the topics selected. I liked the comparison done between Data Scientist and Data Engineer. I would have like to hear more about the roles & responsibilities and how a Data Scientist can perform Data Analytic better that can bring efficiency to the Business and help to get more value and Dollars.

Provided an well articulated perspective on key roles in analytics, namely the "scientist" and "engineer". Very different but complimentary skills, values, and expertise. I now know I can proudly refer to myself as a data scientist.

Great insights. I enjoyed the philosophical and metaphorical approach that gives a big picture view into the Big Data industry / hype.

Very straightforward presentation of Data Scientists, but also gives a realistic picture about the actual role a Data Scientist takes in today's workforce. awesome job.

Hey everyone great to meet you all last night and hope you found the talks interesting. It's great to get feedback, good or bad. I know Fernando has a survey out he'd like everyone to complete. It helps shape future events. But we also read comments on here so people just post feedback, comments, things they'd like to see in future. Thanks

Also, Eugene's talk is an absolutely awesome one too. Highly recommended in terms of gaining an understanding of the 'zen' of analytics, teams, and their perceptions and approaches to problems :)

Looks like Stuart's sess is going to be a good one. One of the more interesting problems is how do hadoop devs get started in establishing a proper dev environment for MapReduce. Great approach with an IDE, git and mvn :)

The October 24th meetup seems to be double booked. Are there two venues at the butter factory?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
