Simple, Affordable Analytics for Machine-generated Data
Companies need a way to analyze exploding volumes of “machine-generated data” (such as Web data, network logs, telecom records, stock tick data and sensor data) quickly and flexibly without costing a fortune in hardware, software licensing or database tuning.
Infobright combines a column-oriented database with our Knowledge Grid architecture to deliver a self-managing database optimized for analytics. Our sophisticated software eliminates the need to create specific schemas, create and maintain indexes, partition data, or do manual tuning. Instead, the Knowledge Grid automatically creates and maintains information about the data as it is being loaded and as queries are run, and uses this information to optimize every query.
Paul Desjardin, VP at Infobright, will show how Infobright’s technology works and how it is helping users, including 8 of the top 10 telecommunications companies worldwide, conduct faster queries—including ad-hoc queries—at 50% less cost, with 90% less work.
As Vice President of Business Development, Paul is responsible for establishing and growing relationships with key Infobright partners. Prior to joining Infobright in November 2006, Paul Desjardins served as Vice President Corporate Branches North America at Shred-it Corporation where he was responsible for sales and operations. Paul has 23 years of industry and sales experience and holds a Masters of Business Administration (Finance) from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario (Canada).
