Join the Center for Improving Value in Health Care (CIVHC) and Health 2.0 Denver/Boulder for a special event on March 6th, 2014 from 5:30 - 9 pm in the offices of iTriage in Downtown Denver.

CIVHC administers the Colorado All Payer Claims Database (APCD), a database of both public and private medical claims data from over 3 million Coloradans. During the meeting, we will explore new ways to leverage this rich set of healthcare data to provide cutting-edge healthcare technologies and capabilities for all Coloradans. In particular, CIVHC is looking for ways to drive innovation in support of the “Triple Aim” of better health, better quality and lower costs and wants to hear from the tech community on how to make that happen!

Colorado is unique in having an independent non-profit organization administer its APCD. States across the country are looking to CIVHC as a potential model in using similar claims data to drive the Triple Aim. To learn more about CIVHC and its mission to create price transparency in the healthcare market, read this article from NPR and Kaiser Health News.

We want to hear from you! Have you worked with public data sets to drive innovation? Have you experimented with business models and unique ways to design solutions around data resources? Have you designed consumer products or built businesses that have leveraged data in innovative ways? Are you interested in doing so in healthcare?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, or think you might want to develop new health data products, this event is for you! Come out and share your ideas, roll up your sleeves and collaboratively develop these ideas while learning about what data is available under what terms.
