For a location, I live at The Archstone 1st + M NE, right by the NoMa metro. We have a lot of great public space that I can reserve for free. Happy to do that to lower any costs. http://www.avaloncommunities.com/district-of-columbia/washington-apartments/archstone-first-and-m/

Data Community DC has a number of Data Scientists that deal with Big Data from different points of view. Here is one of our latest blog posts: http://datacommunitydc.org/blog/2013/05/how-to-tell-a-story-with-big-data/

There are also lots of potential speakers at our events in the DC area.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
