This meet up is for anyone that is impacted by Big Data in their business, professional, and personal realms. We are starting this meet up to educate and demystify everything around Big Data technologies like Hadoop, HBase, Hive, PIG, Datameer, R, etc. and help understand how these new technologies fit within traditional enterprises that have architectures around Mainframe, Windows, Oracle, Teradata, Netezza, Exadata etc. It is one thing to know technology and another to leverage it appropriately for business problems. Being in the Midwest we have the opportunity and challenge of leveraging big data technologies for traditional enterprise use cases across retail, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, financial services, and pharma to name a few and our meet up will address those challenges.
