Ashish will talk about how big data architectures have evolved at Facebook from 2007 till 2011. The talk will cover some of the challenges faced in a highly dynamic and fast growing environment and will present the motivations behind some of the components and technologies that were put in place to enable large parts of the company to access, analyze and use data for various different purposes. He will also present some of the key learnings from the Facebook experience and will talk about a new company, Qubole - that he has co-founded, that is building cloud based "big data" services to address some of those pain points.

The venue was perfect, and the hostess and organizers are very organized and professional. The two speakers are awesome in sharing their expertise and knowledge. I really appreciate it. I like the second speaker better because he was telling a story from a market need's perspective. Easy to understand for a non-tech person like me!
