Join us for some outdoor volunteering along the Esplanade, right in the heart of the city! We will be working alongside the Esplanade Association horticulturist on park maintenance as well as invasive plant removal. We may be painting benches if weather and time permits. All gloves and tools will be provided, but do dress warmly - with your own cold-weather gloves as well, if needed. This is a great opportunity to give back to the city as the entire Boston Esplanade is taken care of by a single horticulturist, where by helping out we can make a difference we can see.
Time: 8.45 AM to 12 PM (noon). Please be on time, as we'll be walking to a site away from the meeting point above. Do bring drinking water! : )
Closest T stop: Copley (Green Line). After getting off the T, walk along Dartmouth St, towards the Charles River. You will pass Newbury St, Comm Ave, Beacon St, reaching Back St. At the junction of Back St and Dartmouth St, you will see the Dartmouth St Footbridge; cross over, which will put you in front of the Dartmouth Street Comfort Station. Many thanks for your help, and see you there!
