Join us on Sunday December 23rd as we roll through Albany's Capital Lights in the Park followed by dinner at The Fountain Restaurant on New Scotland Avenue. It's a fun filled 5 mile round trip (loop of the Lights in the Park twice). We'll begin our ride on New Scotland Avenue from behind the Fountain Restaurant at 4:30pm and proceed down New Scotland Ave. to our lighted park destination at 5:00pm when we'll begin looping the park.
It's our night, it's our time, cyclists only in the park. Newbies warmly welcomed! Lets hope the reindeer will be stationed in front of the Lakehouse again this year! Please remember to bring your bike lights and helmets. The 2012 edition of Hannaford Capital Holiday Lights is a bike-through spectacular with more than 125 displays and scenes in Albany’s Washington Park. This year’s lights’ show has new themed areas: America's Heroes, Toyland, Santa on Vacation, Victorian Holiday and Peace on Earth. At the end of your bike through the Lights, the Washington Park Lake House comes alive. Join your favorite reindeer and friends as they bring fun and mystery to the holiday season. The Lake House is filled with crafts and refreshments. Santa will be there to hear your holiday wishes and hopefully fill them with your favorite cycling goodies!
For those interested, post-ride at The Fountain Restaurant promises to be affordably awesome as usual!
Admission to the Capital Lights in the Park is only $5.00 per cyclist (payable upon entry to the park). Proceeds benefit the Albany PAL helmet program. Please call the shop if you have any questions (518) 238-BIKE or drop me an email. Hope to see you there!
