"Tow Path Tuesdays"

Ongoing - "Tow Path Tuesdays" (Open Riding for All Types of Bikes!) This Tuesday we will be cycling along the scenic Mohawk - Hudson Bikeway from Cohoes to just past the Colonie Town Park. Distance will be somewhere between 8 - 18 miles depending on whether or not you choose to go the extra distance to Lyons Park in Niskayuna. Ride starts at the Bike Barn in Cohoes at 6:00pm.

"Tow Path Tuesdays" are recreational rides aimed at getting people out on their bikes in a fun social environment. Ride at your own relaxed pace! Entry level riders and those just getting back into it, this is your day to soak in the sun and surroundings. Rides typically start at the Bike Barn at 6pm but can vary from week to week so call us to check on the starting point for that wreek (238-BIKE). These rides are weather permitting and will encompass bike paths, canal paths, urban riding and points of interest. Most rides are considered to be easy so dust off your bike and join us!

Everybody left me in the dust. I rode by myself for an hour and fifteen minutes. Oh well.

Jan I often ride alone, even when I am in a group. I'm just slow! But I like knowing there are others along that might stop if I look like I need a hand, and to say "How are you doing?" Plus, I get to hear about and try out new rides. And everyone is friendly and welcoming in this group. I too, got separated last night and come off the trail in a different place! But no worries, I managed fine. Please come again! Along the Hudson is lovely.

thanks for you responses. I didn't know there were different groups. And Gretchen, thank you for riding with me for a little while. I usually am not free on Tuesdays, but will try again next time I can.

I'd like to confirm and participate, as the bike carrier is now installed, but I still need to know if my friend's Prius, which with the carrier is now as long as a small station wagon, will have a safe place to park. Anyone...?

I am sorry the "ambassodors" didn't reply to your queries. The starting points have always, in my experience, been safe.

Fabulous ride! Although I am a beginner this ride was so much fun! Wonderful friendly people and discovering lots of new trails in this Capital district. Life is what you make of it!

My simple question about parking (and for that matter most of my comments) were ignored. Time to move on.

What's the parking like? I'd have to borrow a friend's Prius, and don't want to get it dinged.
