August Get-together - Free Outdoor Concert at Strathmore

Free Summer Outdoor Concert: Spanish musician Carlos Nunez

This is a perfect venue for a social gathering - and one of our favorites thru the years; you can bring food and drinks or buy it there where they bbq picnic food.  It's a great mid-summer night's opportunity to hang out with old/young friends and make new ones.  Look for the Bike and Brunch sign in the back left area.

Known as “The Seventh Chieftain,” beguiling Spanish musician Carlos Núñez plays the gaita, the traditional Galician bagpipe. His unique and amazing folk music showcases his native region of Galicia, in northwest Spain, and the surprising Celtic traditions that thrive there. Expect jigs and reels, played on bodhran, fiddle and pipes with a wonderful Latin flair.

The Metro Stop is across the street and parking is very easy at meters (that go til 7) or the Metro Garage.

Unfortunately I am not able to make it. I enjoyed the ride last Sunday and hope to become more active in Bike @ Brunch in the future.
