Parkway Deli Ride - Cycle thru Rock Creek Park and Crescent Trail

PLEASE NOTE THE EARLIER TIME for July and August rides - meet at 9:30, leave at 10.

This is a great, close-in 21 mile ride (with a couple shorter options) that is partly on beautiful, closed-to-cars Beach Drive in Rock Creek Park.  There's a lot of shade on this ride.  Pass through streams, the National Zoo, Washington Harbor in Georgetown, Fletchers Boat House and Bethesda.

After the ride, Bike & Brunch will meet for Brunch at Parkway Deli. This ride is usually well-attended, mostly flat and lots of fun.  Again, note that the ride meets at 9:30 AM and leaves promptly at 10:00.  For directions, click on the address for the Parkway Deli above.

Come join Bike & Brunch for this fun ride.

All riders must wear a helmet and sign a Bike & Brunch release form.

You should also bring plenty of water for the ride, money and identification. Recommended gear includes bicycle gloves, a spare tire, a pump, weather appropriate clothes and an odometer.

As promised, the route was mostly shaded. With the weather being so beautiful today, the trail was packed, and getting around those on foot was a challenge. The route was a bit hard to follow through Bethesda, but we made it back to the Deli.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
