    The Ride

    Type: Casual/Social ride ideal for for any type bicycle.

    Distance: Will vary between 10 -25 miles depending on the amount of daylight available.  Early and late season rides will be shorter, mid season rides will be longer.

    Pace: Average pace is typically in the range of 10-14 mph.  However, this is a no drop ride, which means no one is left behind, so feel free to pedal at a pace that is comfortable for you.

    Terrain: Mostly flat paved multi-use trail.

    Course:  Typically this ride will be along the Washington & Old Dominion Trail, but may include neigborhood roads from time to time.


    Arrival & Ride Prep: 6:00 PM

    Start Pedaling Time: 6:15 PM


    What to Bring

    • Helmet - Mandatory!
    • Liquids - And plenty of them!
    • Photo ID
    • Money - Cash or credit card for food or emergency)
    • Bicycle Emergency Repair Kit - (cash, mini tool, inner tube, CO2 cartridge or hand pump, etc.)
    • Bike lock

     

    Other Things to Keep in Mind

    • Please review the group's No Show Policy.
    • If you RSVP "yes" and you are unable to attend due to unexpected circumstances, please call or text the event host.
    • If you are running late, please call or text the event hosts w/ your ETA!
    • No go if conditions are bad. This includes rain, wet roads, tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards, earthquakes, locusts, or cats & dogs falling out of the sky.
