Event Host Ralph Sonenshine invites us all to his home in Cabin John, MD for a post ride social gathering to enjoy some well deserved lunch and drinks, watch the world cup, play badminton, or just hang out on the back porch.

Ralph will provide beer, wine, soft drinks and deserts.  You provide whatever food you want to eat for lunch.  If you wish to bring something to share, even better!  If you prefer to purchase your food immediately after the ride rather than making ahead of time and storing in a cooler, check out these two nearby stores:

The Market on the Boulevard (

    Bethesda Coop (

Ralph’s address & directions will be emailed to everyone Friday afternoon/evening, so be sure to check your email!

Rain or shine, the RAAM goes on. I'm out there at the finish or TS54. It's a great time! 20 cyclists projected to finish tomorrow.

Unfortunately, the weather forecast is not very promising for this ride. As of now, there's a 70% chance of rain/thunderstorms Saturday from 2:00 am until 2:00 pm, dropping to 50% from then until 2:00 am Sunday. Unless the forecast drops to 50% or less tomorrow's ride will canceled. I will make the go/no-go decision before 5:00 pm this afternoon. Two things will happen should the ride be canceled...

    1) You will be notified via the Meetup email system (check your profile settings to make sure you receive the notification).

    2) The ride will be rescheduled for a future date yet to be determined.

    Stay tuned...
