Are you the type of person who loves riding your bike so much, you sometimes don't want the ride to end? Randonneuring offers you a way to challenge yourself on roads you've probably never ridden before, and in a non-competitive style emphasizing friendly camaraderie, and where self-sufficiency and determination are paramount.

Presented by Alaska Randonneurs. Come learn what randonneuring is all about. And it's free.

Long distance riding can be an enjoyable experience and a personal challenge. The Randonneuring rides are on the calendar with details to be posted soon. I may be up for the ride on the 12th as it will be a good training ride for the Clean Air Challenge.

I really enjoyed learning about Randonneuring style biking. I may actually try a 100k. It sounds like it would be a good place to start. Lots of information. Great presentation.

It was very interesting, I like touring but haven't ever ridden any more than 50 miles. I'd like to ride the Talkeetna Event April 12th. If anyone else is considering it, let me know!

I'm going to have to back out of this event. I have a sick family member to care for. Sorry.

Anyone want to toss out some pre-presentation questions about randonneuring in Alaska? I'm all ears!

Wow. I did the same thing, attended. Then got cold feet because I would attend the event by myself. I am game to try this, but really would like some company. May be on one of the shorter [masked]) rides. Any takers?

Kevin is super nice and after this meeting, maybe you'll feel comfortable going on a ride. I believe all the rides will be posted on meet-up as well.

Thanks Julie. I'll try the radonneuring meet up and see how that works out.

I attended last year and was very inspired and motivated. Maybe this year I can actually go on one of the rides. :)
