Ride a bike & read a book with the Baltimore Family Bike Party!

Ride postponed until March! Too much snow and ice in Charles Village.

A chilly spring morning is perfect for settling in to read a good book... after you have warmed up on a fun ride with the Baltimore Family Bike Party, of course!

Book Thing Family Bike Party
The Book Thing, 3001 Vineyard Lane, Baltimore, MD 21218
RSVP here or on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/194145354111095/

The Book Thing is a special destination for families (and people of all ages!) who love books and love to get things for free. Join us next weekend on a gentle "Tour du Charles Village" starting from the Book Thing at Vineyard Lane and 30th Street and cruising on quiet neighborhood streets past local parks, playgrounds and family-friendly coffee shops. Weather permitting, we'll be sure to stop at a playground before returning to the Waverly Farmer's Market for a snack.

Special thanks to Baltimore Bicycle Works for hosting our indoors DIY Balance Bike Workshop last month! We are always looking for volunteers to get involved with planning future rides. If you're interested in learning more or helping out, please get in touch through our website: baltimorefamilybikeparty.wordpress.com

For the grown-ups, the Peabody Heights Brewery (home of Raven, Public Works, and Full Tilt beers) will be open for tours and tastings after this Saturday's Book Thing Family Bike Party ride. The tour is $5 with a complimentary PHB tasting glass. Children and teenagers can come on the tour, but won't be served any beverages. PHB is conveniently located just across the street from the Book Thing.

Can't wait to meet up with everyone again but hoping you vary the days/times. We have Saturday morning activities scheduled now so we can't make it as often.

We'll be doing an afternoon ride in April - we might start alternating but the afternoon rides are harder for me so it is a bit dependent on volunteers. If the weather is too cold or the ground is still too icy on Friday, we may be moving this ride to next month! I'll update the event if anything changes.
