This Group is primarily made up of screenwriters who have recieved coaching and explored 'The Visual Mindscape of the Screenplay" with Bill Boyle and are interested in continuing to work with like minded writers.
The group is also open to a limited number of interested guests at each meeting.
The various topics of discussion will include the visual mindscape, story ideas, plot lines, dialogue, narrative pacing, character development as well as legal, business and marketing issues that are relevant to screenwriters.
Bill Boyle is the industry's leading proponent of the 'Visual Mindscape of the Screenplay'.
"I believe that screenwriting is matchless as a form of storytelling. If done properly, the reader not only imagines the ‘other world’ you created, but becomes viscerally connected to it.
If in Citizen Kane you were told the meaning of the word ‘Rosebud’, rather than being allowed to discover it on your own, would it have the same impact?
I believe that when a reader is allowed to discover elements of a story rather than being told, they participate in a far more intimate and impelling level. I feel this is the true magic of the screenplay.
The telling of your story now becomes a grand game of ‘hide and seek’, as you search for the visual equivalents, metaphoric images, and external representations of the hidden inner world of thoughts, values and motivations.
I have an infectious love for this form of storytelling and I look forward to sharing it with you."
