Biolab Automation & Robotics Community Project

Getting carpal tunnel from pipetting? Be a part of the robotic uprising by making the robots work for you in the bio lab.

If Arduinos, sensors, and open source hardware engineering are your thing, please join us for our first Biolab Automation & Robotics (BAR) Community Project meeting.

We will explore all aspects of lab automation. Our goal is to create flexible platforms that perform most bio lab techniques. Come discuss what you'd like to contribute, or let us know what kind of systems you'd be excited to get access to.

Or we'll make an automated pizza extruder.

We'll try to give a brief intro to the project at the start of the meeting for any new visitors. This is a hacking meeting, so bring your favorite tools: laptop, camera, soldering iron etc. Younger kids must be accompanied by an adult, thanks.

Been working on a pipetting robot for a few months, but it's time to get some input on what people really need it to do. Happy to contribute ideas, coding or machine shop time.

I'm a computer science master's student at Stanford and a medical student at Yale. Interested in learning more about bioautomation.

This is relevant to my interests but I won't move to town for a few weeks. I am a professional software developer and also have some decent hobbyist electronics experience. Embedded system design, PCB layout, firmware programming, etc., which I would like to put to use.
