Geared for ages 7 and up, please wear closed toed shoes in the lab.

What will we do?

Fruit DNA
DNA is what defines you as you: it defines hair color, eye color, height, color of skin, and all of your other physical characteristics. Things like the arrangement of your arms on your body, or how many fingers you have are also determined by DNA. We will learn how DNA works, what it does, and simple ways to extract it.

Price per child attending

Hi Hui - yes this is hands on experiment. The kids will learn about DNA and we will teach them simple techniques to lyse cells and extract DNA. We will use this technique on various types of fruits in an experiment in the lab. Because of the age range we get that is all we tend to do in the time allowed.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
