This workshop is geared for anyone working in the biotech or life sciences industries, anyone looking to start a biotech company, or those who are simply curious about biotech on a global scale.

Ruby Gadelrab is the Head of Marketing and Clinical Development at Affymetrix. Ruby is responsible for all marketing and clinical development activities, in international markets including Asia Pacific, The Middle East and North Africa, Russia and South America. Ruby has over 14 years experience in the genomics market, and has held various sales and marketing positions in several life science companies including Abgene, Life Technologies, Serologicals, Intergen and Dharmacon. Through the course of her career she has specialized in a wide variety of genomics tools, including PCR, QPCR, RNAi, bDNA and Microarrays. Ruby has market experience in cancer research, medical genomics, translational research, personalized medicine and molecular diagnostics. Ruby holds a BSc (Hons) degree in molecular biology from University College London in the UK.
