Vickie Brewster is a solo practitioner (www.ipbrew.com) in Palo Alto and was formerly Sr. Patent Counsel at Genentech. Vickie has over 15 years experience drafting, prosecuting and defending biotech patents both at law firms and in-house. Vickie has developed processes in-house to manage IP identification and development, as well as employee training. Vickie has extensive knowledge of foreign prosecution and invalidation procedures. Vickie is a regular speaker at various conferences on patent law, foreign prosecution and biotechnology. Vickie has a Ph.D. in Physiology and Pharmacology from UCSD and a J.D. from Boston University.
