The Chemistry of Photography

Introduction

During this session we will be exploring photo-sensitivity, light and dye chemistry. The advent of chemicals to record (photograph) light just been around for 100 years Nature has developed photosensitive chemicals for thousands of years these are present in vision, regulation of melenain and photosysthesis. Recording light has become an important part science from using light to measure processes occurring inside a cell to the common camera phone to Photography is the process of
During this session we will use a photosensitive fabic dye to explore the photographic process. This class is open to kids as well as adults.

Price

Price is per child attending, parent or guardian can attend class with child for no additional fee. $30 for non-members, $20 for members of BioCurious*

Ages

Saturday Morning Science is for ages 5 and up. Under 7 require an adult present to assist them with the lab.
