Saturday Morning Science: Building a Solar Oven

10 am to noon

Taught by Mark Kent

Solar Oven
Energy that comes from the sun is hot enough to warm food, or even to actually cook the food or to sterilize it. Solar ovens can capture and collect the energy and direct it at the food. It is even possible to boil water using solar energy, although the energy has to be concentrated in order to boil the water for a long enough period to prepare a batch of soup, for example.

Price is per child attending, parent or guardian can attend class with child for no additional fee. $30 for Meetup-only members, $20 for Lab members of BioCurious*

Saturday Morning Science is for ages 5 and up. Under 7 require an adult present to assist them with the lab.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
