Our successful Kickstarter campaign ( http://biocurious.org/kickstarter) brought together volunteers and other biology enthusiasts eager to create a community lab, and they helped us raise over $35,000.

We are now busily gathering lab equipment and finalizing a lab location in the heart of Silicon Valley.

Science is all around us. Many find a love for it at an early age, but few continue to learn after leaving educational institutions. For those who continue to seek to know, there is BioCurious. Curious about biology? Come to a meetup to find other like-minded folk!

BioCurious is is an online community and budding biotech hackerspace/community lab in which all levels of biological engineers can come together to learn and share ideas, bringing back that enthusiasm for science we experienced as kids. BioCurious promotes the responsible and safe practice of scientific techniques. Our meetings are typically held in Mountain View, CA, where we discuss topics such as biotech entrepreneurship, best practices, advances in related technology and market scope for new products.
